# Exocad's New AI Integrations in Dental Design Software
## Introduction
[0] I'm really excited about today because today, Exocad dropped a big bomb on us with AI integrations into their dental design software. Essentially, big news for single unit crown design, really is gonna help speed up the process. In addition to that, we have some phenomenal smile design features that I'm super excited to show you, including ultra-realistic smile design views, photo-realistic AI implementation of merging of intraoral scans to photographs. We have also AI integration of photorealistic views into the smile.
[30] In addition to that, we have a really cool AI video integration of the proposed smile into real-time speech. So I'm gonna show you a little bit of how it works ultra sped up because as always, I wanna give you guys the information as fast as I can so that you could have the knowledge to change the way that you practice. So let's get into it.
## AI Crown Design
[40] Alright. The first thing that I wanna talk about is the AI crown design. Basically, you set your case up and you hit the little AI button right there, and then it's gonna immediately take you into the design process, and there's gonna be a new cloud AI. You hit design and it's gonna go ahead and upload everything to the cloud and then create a proposal, based off of the adjacent teeth anatomy and all the other parameters that have been preloaded and programmed into the software.
[83] This whole process takes about a minute and a half to two minutes depending on the crown. Once you get your proposal, you have full ability to edit things like proximal contacts, anatomy, margins, everything that you know and love. Interestingly enough here, I'm just doing a quick margin edit. And then from here, I'm gonna adapt and the whole crown design process takes about two to three minutes as you could see.
## Smile Design
[99] Now into the smile design, here I have one of my patients. We have a beautiful smile design on. This is an additive note prep mock-up and I want a more photo-realistic look to how they're going to appear. So I go into my smile creator and I hit the photo-realistic preview. It then takes you through the AI auto-segmentation of the natural teeth in the arch. So if we see here, it's gonna automatically identify premolar to premolar and segment out the natural teeth. This helps it with the AI alignment to the photos.
[134] And now we could see through a little bit of magical wizardry of the AI cloud, when I go ahead and do my preview, it's photo-realistic. In addition to that, we have now the ability of an extra tool to do video, real video augmentation of the smile. This is kind of augmented reality view so I'm gonna show you how we do that.
## Video Augmentation
[154] So you're gonna go to tools and you're gonna see a new option, down there called create true smile video. You're gonna pop that button and then you're gonna load a cell phone video. The video is easy to create. It's thirty seconds maximum. It's in ten eighty p format. You're gonna tell it where that video is. And then on the screen, you're gonna see you're gonna upload the video to the cloud, and it's gonna render that video, and then it's gonna throw in the photo-realistic teeth into the patient's face as they're talking and smiling and laughing.
[189] And we run a really minor changes in this case. It's gonna be a little bit more subtle for you to be able to tell. But what's gonna happen, it's gonna create a side by side video of the original, then comparing it to the new render. And all you do is scan that QR code, it takes you to the web app and you're going to be able to load in the video. This is what it looks like.
## Conclusion
[213] And so this is what it looks like on the web app and you can see, the video on the on left is the one that is the original and the video on the right is one that's rendered with a new smile design. And you can see subtle changes, a little bit of length, a little bit of brightness, a little bit of rotations that were done, to really help the patient understand what their smile might look like. And of course this is downloadable. You could download it in full HD and then share it with the patient, which is by hitting just that download button.
[237] Now in America right now it's, free to try. I think you get like one or two credits, but you could buy credits. They're relatively inexpensive. I think it's, 10 credit it's like a dollar a credit or something like that. It's more inexpensive than I thought, and it's gonna be really cool to be able to do this and show your patients, in real time how their smile might look with video.

I'm super excited about these because this is kinda where I live in my dental practice with small design.
