# Photography Tips: Light Made Simple Protocol
## Introduction
[3] Hey, guys. Here in practice, I want to show you how I do this kind of pictures using the Light Made Simple protocol, True Softbox, MOD Softbox tripods. Okay? And, the big tip that I would like to give you guys is 45 degrees angle, okay, the light, okay, for the patient's head.
## Camera Positioning
[17] And now I'm not showing a smile. So when I'm showing a smile, my camera is wide. Okay? It's in this direction. Okay? When I'm trying to take portrait pictures, I have to rotate my camera, okay, in the vertical way. It's easy to get that. But in this position that I'm here, I'm not seeing the ears of Evie, our patient, and that's super important for us.
## Adjusting the Setup
[47] So I always ask my patients to put the hair back, the ears, and I need to open a little this space, look, between these both soft boxes. Okay? So I'm just moving off a little and now I have space and I can see the full head of Eevee. Okay? For sure, different smile picture that we have made that I was in this position because my frame is just the smile.
## Taking the Portrait
[80] Now I need to take the full head portrait picture. Okay? So I need to move back. So I'm moving back to get the perfect frame. Okay. Make the focus. Let me put my focus automatic. And big smile, Evie. Yes. And shot. So this is the first picture that you are seeing at the screen. Okay? The patient is straight with me.
## Capturing Different Angles
[108] The second picture, it will be 45 degrees, so I just need to rotate a little even be straight with this flash. Yes. Very, very full. Big smile. Rotate to the other side and big smile. A little more, Evie. More for your right side. Rotate a little more. Perfect. And that's it. So these two pictures now that you are seeing is 45 degrees.
## Final Adjustments
[133] You saw that I just moved the patient or rotate the patient. It's the same settings. The tripod are fixed. The light is the same. The camera is the same. So it take like two seconds for each picture. If you'd like to take a profile picture, you have to ask the patient to rotate more easy to be straight for this position and here, look, this light, it's not hitting her face.
## Conclusion
[161] So I need to move this light. Sorry. I have to block you, but look, this light is straight, okay, for her face. I'm in the same position. So just big smiley me and that's it. So fast and easy. It's the sent to the other side. Just rotate to the other side and you have the five pictures. Okay? It's very good to document your patients in this way because you have the before, the diagnosis the diagnostic pictures in the first, appointment.
[188] When you finish your treatment, you'll do the same. Okay? And you'll have the full protocol portrait pictures. So easy and fast. Maybe it take thirty seconds to take the five pictures. So I hope you like it, guys. See you in next class.
