HANDS-ON LEARNING

5 Day Residency

Experience 5 focused days balancing evidence-based lectures, technoloy-driven workflows and step-by-step case practice to master digital workflows for full mouth restoration procedures in your practice.

DAY 1
Review historical perspective on occlusal philosophies and examine the MOD philosophy and supporting evidence. Learn the hands-on digital record process then design and 3D print a flat plane occlusal guard design incorporating learnings from earlier in the day.

DAY 2
Review evidence on wear and parafunction. Tackle your second case with a hands-on advanced occlusal guard design followed by 3D printing and step-by-step finishing including the candy coating exercise for splints.
DAY 3
The day starts with a lecture on functional considerations in occlusion and comprehensive case planning before moving into a Modjaw, photography and face scanning demonstration. This is followed by exocad design of digital wax-up of full maxillary arch of dual arch case before finishing the day with hands-on characterization of direct to prep printed temporaries.

DAY 4
A morning lecture on clinical and blended workflows is followed by focused design time on reduction guides, shell temporaries and wax-up models before working through conversion and hands-on green state zirconia characterization.

DAY 5
The culmination of the week's learning focuses on biomechanical adaptability and case finishing. Design time hones in on translating approved temporaries to final full mouth restoration design. The day rounds out with hands-on zirconia characterization with MiYO.

Do I need to own specific technology to take this course?

No. Whether you are considering learning more about 3D printing or ceramic veneers in general, considering purchasing technology to get started in printing, or are currently printing in your practice, the materials in this course will apply and are technology agnostic. All software licenses are provided by The MOD Institute during training.

How much does it cost to bring a team member with me?

Courses at The MOD Institute are priced to be as economical as possible for hands-on learning with dedicated instructional guidance and support.
