HANDS-ON LEARNING

5 Day Residency

5 days of hands on learning. We will do a quadrant of partial coverage restorations start to finish on our custom typodonts. Everything from isolation, preparation, design, finishing and delivery will be done step-by-step together. In total, 4 total cases will be completed.

DAY 1

We'll begin with the fundamentals of isolation and tooth preparation followed by typodont teeth preparation for a partial coverage patient case.

DAY 2

We'll focus on design as a critical step in the partial coverage workflow using both exocad and free design software options. This is where the precision and accuracy of digital comes alive.

DAY 3

We'll troubleshoot common design issues then move into 3D printing and finishing, followed by bonding and delivery.

DAY 4

We'll work together on case 3: a quadrant start to finish including tooth preparation, 3d printing, finishing and delivery.

DAY 5

Tackle the 4th case from start to finish as you implement the full series of diagnostic, prep, design, print and finish techniques in the final test.

No. Whether you are considering learning more about 3D printing or ceramic veneers in general, considering purchasing technology to get started in printing, or are currently printing in your practice, the materials in this course will apply and are technology agnostic. All software licenses are provided by The MOD Institute during training.

How much does it cost to bring a team member with me?

Wally Renne DMD

Dr. Wally Renne is the founder of the MOD Institute and leads all learning and innovation initiatives at the organization. He is a contributing member of MOD Aesthetics, the private practice arm of MOD.

He previously served as a Professor and Assistant Dean of Innovation and Digital Dentistry at the Medical University of South Carolina and has won several national and regional awards for his efforts both pre-clinically and clinically.

He is also an active dental researcher and has published over 30 studies on scan and milling accuracy using various systems. Dr. Renne also has several patents including a patent for a platform of long-term antimicrobial dental materials.

Dr. Allan Queiroz

Dr. Allan Queiroz is a lead instructor at The MOD Institute. He was previously the Technical director and founder of the Restorative Lab, Chile, Post-Graduate instructor at The Dental Institute of Americas and an instructor at La Frontera University.

Dr. Queiroz specializes in Implantology, Oral Rehabilitation and Smile Design. He is a certified exocad Trainer and Key Opinion Leader for exocad and Straumann.

He has pioneered online learning courses in the areas of Macro Photography, Adhesive Aesthetic Rehabilitation and Guided Implant Surgery and has been published in The Research, Society and Development Journal.

His passion for dentistry extends into visual storytelling and photography where he has pioneered concepts and lighting techniques to drive clinical education and patient understanding.
