5 Day Residency

This unforgettable week will equip you with the latest ditital techniques to take a fully endentulous patient from first scan to walking out the door with dentures... all in a single visit. With over a decade of experience and thousands of 3D printed dentures delivered, our workflow has been tested, refined and perfected. Learn to take full control of the process -- from scanning and design to 3D Printing and finishing. 

DAY 1
Start the week with a hands-on deep dive into 3D printed partial dentures: a perfect warm-up before tackling more complex designs. You will explore the design, finishing, and material science behind flexible printed partials, including how to optimize them for long-term success. We will also cover advanced techniques for surface characterization to enhance esthetics and realism.

DAY 2
Advance from partial dentures to immediate dentures with a focus on speed, precision, and esthetics. Explore the full spectrum of printable materials, including their strengths and limitations, to choose the right option for each clinical scenario. Learn digital tooth extraction techniques, photo merging for esthetic tooth resetting, and advanced exocad design workflows. You'll also master finishing of monolithic dentures, including how to create durable, lifelike pink tissue characterization with an artistic touch that lasts. 
DAY 3
Dive into the most advanced techniques in digital denture duplication.  Learn how to accurately replicate and enhance existing dentures using the latest scanning, stitching, and design protocols. Each participant will scan a traditional denture and a relined denture, then merge these with intraoral scans of the endentulous tissues. You'll also bring the digital denture into harmony with the patient's face using integrated facial photography and face scanning. This day is all about precision, personalization, and streamlining the denture duplication process with cutting-edge digital tools. In the afternoon, you will learn split-file denture finishing.
DAY 4
Experience the digital denture workflow come to life with a live patient demonstration led by Dr. Renne. Watch and learn as he walks you through the most efficient clinical techniques for capturing VDO, centric relation, and other critical records - streamlined for digital success. You will gain practical insights into chairside efficiency and the nuances of record-taking that impact outcomes. In the afternoon, shift into hands-on mode as you begin designing a dual arch denture case, applying the techniques observed earlier in the day. 
DAY 5
Wrap up the week with your final capstone project. You will complete the full digital design of a dual arch denture case, then bring it to life by finishing and characterizing a 3D printed dual arch denture with precision and artistry. Learn techniques to enhance esethetics, function, and durability-combining everything you've learned into a beautifully executed final result.

Do I need to own specific technology to take this course?

No. Whether you are considering learning more about 3D printing or ceramic veneers in general, considering purchasing technology to get started in printing, or are currently printing in your practice, the materials in this course will apply and are technology agnostic. All software licenses are provided by The MOD Institute during training.

How much does it cost to bring a team member with me?

Courses at The MOD Institute are priced to be as economical as possible for hands-on learning with dedicated instructional guidance and support.
