# Retainer Delivery Process
## Introduction
[4] Alright. So now we're here for the retainer delivery. And the secret to the retainer delivery is ultra high heat, 200 degrees Fahrenheit water. You're gonna drop them into that water for about thirty seconds. They're gonna soften, and this is gonna allow us to deliver these pain free and get perfect fits.
## Procedure
[24] Use some hemostats to go ahead and get them out of the hot water after it's been about thirty seconds, and you'll see they'll be kinda flexible. First, I'm gonna deliver the lower appliance just like that, and then I'm gonna deliver the upper appliance. You'll notice that they're even flexible.
[65] Okay. And I like to squeeze, the facial embrasures just to make sure that it when it was, heated, it doesn't warp. And there we go. So we have, delivered our upper and lower retainers. When they get cooled off, they shrink just a little bit. They'll get a little bit tighter, and everything will be just great.
